Since 2017, RMT in partnership with other Tucson non-profit and private donors has helped deliver over 43,000 pounds of dog and cat food to needy areas in Southern Arizona. The following is a synopsis of our biggest single day transport of food.
In November 2018, in partnership with Cody’s Friends and GreaterGood, we arranged (rented) two 26ft Trucks to carry just over 10 tons of dog and cat food from Tucson, Arizona to High Desert Humane Society(HDHS) in Globe, Arizona to help animals in the remote area of Gila County Arizona and the San Carlos Apache Reservation get thru the winter.

November 6th, 2018 – 7pm 53ft Semi-truck of donated food from Merrick Dog Food arrives from El Paso, Texas at Cody’s Friends. The food was unloaded and reloaded into the two 26ft trucks. The Cody’s team finished loading our trucks around 11 pm.

November 7th, 2019 – Our two rental Truck take the 20,400 lbs of dog and cat food to High Desert Humane Society (HDHS) in Globe.
A special thanks to McSpadden Ford of Globe for the use of the forklift to unload the two trucks.
