We work with multiple nonprofit shelters &amp; rescues<strong><em>.\u00a0<\/em>Please text or call 520-261-1616 to verify the animal is still available<\/strong>. Our last Meet and Greet is 4 PM Daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-fc314ba4ecb0f6ee24888e876b80e9ff\"><strong>Adopters must be<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>at least 21 years old.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>We don\u2019t accept applications \u201cby proxy\u201d on behalf of other people.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Please understand that we are seeking permanent, compatible homes for animals who have lost their homes and security at least once<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applications are completed online and reviewed\u00a0<strong>within 48 hours<\/strong>\u00a0with the Rescue or shelter who owns the animal. A joint decision is made regarding the best placement.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>You may access the RMT application online at\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.rescuemetucson.org\/index.php\/adopt\/\"><strong>www.rescuemetucson.org\/index.php\/adopt\/<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Once you submit the application, you\u2019ll receive confirmation of submission<\/strong>. We\u2019ll respond via the email provided within 48 hours. Please be patient.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Applicants for HARTT animals\u00a0<u>MUST<\/u>\u00a0use HARTT\u2019s online form:\u00a0<\/strong><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/azhartt.org\/programs-services\/adopt\/\"><strong>https:\/\/azhartt.org\/programs-services\/adopt\/<\/strong><\/a><\/li><\/ul><ul><li>Due to the volume of applications,\u00a0ot all HARTT Applications will receive a response.\u00a0\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Inquiries about HARTT animals should be emailed to:\u00a0\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:care@azhartt.org\">care@azhartt.org<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><u>All adults<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0involved in the adoption and care of the animal are required to meet the animal and agree to the adoption.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>A Facetime Home Visit<\/strong>\u00a0is\u00a0<strong>required<\/strong>\u00a0for some agencies after an application is initially approved. The purpose of the visit is to check for safety (fencing, gates, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Appointments are\u00a0<strong><u>required<\/u><\/strong>\u00a0for meet and greets with dogs already in the household.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4c80c847db5805a64396d1b9d6b63cc0\"><strong>Due to safety concerns,\u00a0\u00a0<em><u>NO<\/u><\/em><\/strong><em><u>\u00a0retractable leashes<\/u>\u00a0are allowed for dog meet and greets<\/em>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Appointments are preferred to meet our animals. Walk-in visitors are welcome, but may have to wait for assistance due to limited staffing.\u00a0<strong>4 PM is the last meet and greet of the day.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For appointments,<strong>\u00a0please text or call 520-261-1616.
